Cinematic Virtual Tabletop (VTT) Alchemy RPG is collaborating with gaming industry giants Free League Publishing, Paizo, Chaosium, and more to announce Alchemy Version One and Alchemy Enhanced—the most immersive way to experience tabletop role-playing games online—live on Kickstarter on Tuesday, April 25th, 2023.

Alchemy’s Version One Kickstarter campaign breathes new life into digital adaptations of Free League titles by creating exclusive “Enhanced” versions of  Mörk Borg, Tales From the Loop, Coriolis, Forbidden Lands, Dragonbane, and more. Each Alchemy Enhanced title—represented as the face card in five physical thematic Content Decks—includes a custom themed Alchemy interface, original score, ten looping ambient soundscapes, ten motion overlays, and an animated title screen. Content Decks will include campaign settings, adventures, supplements, and storytelling assets from some of the industry’s most loved creators.

“Alchemy brings our titles to players and Gamemasters in a new way. This digital tool creates an atmosphere that adds to the cinematic quality of our IPs. Free League is excited to be a part of the Alchemy Kickstarter campaign, and we’re looking forward to bringing even more titles to the platform later this year.”

—Tomas Härenstam (CEO, Free League Publishing)

Four thematic Content Decks (Fantasy, Futures, Horror, and Modern), each containing ten cards, are being offered as reward tiers on the campaign, with a fifth deck exclusively offered in a box set collection including all 50 content cards. Each deck will have campaign settings, adventures, and supplements from creators like Paizo (Pathfinder), World of Darkness (Vampire: The Masquerade), Modiphius (Fallout RPG), Magpie Games (MASKS, Cartel), Kobold Press (Scarlet Citadel), Hunters Entertainment (Kids on Bikes), and Chaosium (Call of Cthulhu). With an MSRP of $120, backers will have the opportunity to get decks at more than half off the retail price.

Kickstarter Backers will also receive exclusive Kickstarter benefits, like “Backer Account” status, enabling access to special offers, advanced access to new features, and Alchemy Version One before the general public. Each physical tier will also receive access to Alchemy Unlimited, with an option to purchase a lifetime license to Alchemy’s premium subscription at the campaign’s highest tier.

Alchemy Version One promises more than Enhanced content experiences, title availability, and a wide array of game system support. The team is also opening up its feature set to include tactical improvements like fog of war, grid customization, video chat, and Streamer Mode, making Alchemy RPG the only tool you’ll need to tell an incredible story.
