In the past, Know Direction staff took the months after Gen Con easy, often replaced by a two week Guest Blogger Takeover. This year, we’re going in the opposite direction.
Alex is back! Well, he never fully left, since he’s been hosting Know Direction Beyond for all 100 episodes. But outside of hosting duties, he’s been one of, if not the, most prolific bloggers Know Direction ever had. At different points in the 11 years he’s been with us, he’s written a build advice column, a designer diary, and whatever Gibbering Mouth was. But most famously he wrote tips and techniques for GMs and players about Pathfinder and Starfinder.
I have good news for fans who still need Alex’s Guidance. His original blog is back! Starting this week, he’s kicking off a three part series on Hope In Storytelling.
For those not familiar, Alex Augunas is one of the network’s most successful writers. He’s contributed to dozens of Pathfinder and Starfinder products from Paizo, as well as some of the most popular and influential titles for both in the third party space as the publisher of Everybody Games. His extensive understanding of the rules and lore have made him an asset to the Know Direction Network, and elevated the content he creates for us.
Speaking of our content, here’s what came out from the Know Direction Network last week:

Now You Know: The End of Pathfinder Adventure Path Monthly Volumes
By Ryan Costello
I reflect on the end of Adventure Paths as a monthly dose of Pathfinder at your door. Honestly, I set out to write a more personal article. Then I realized that I didn’t have many personal experiences with APs, and those I had weren’t original or special. So I asked myself why I felt such big feelings about this. I realized it’s because I understood the significance of the line, and what it meant to the foundation and history of Pathfinder. That became the article I wrote. For an editorial, which are usually just shot blurbs about what’s on my mind, I thought it turned out very well.
