About the myth of the giant rpg company, that is a pet peeve of mine. People complaining about “wealthy” rpg companies and individual designers running kickstarters. They haven’t paid attention to the history of role playing games. Even before the tax rules on stock on hand changed, people regularly went broke making rpgs with adequate production values.
People keep complaining about Monte Cook making Numenara via kickstarter because apparently he should risk his house and his general ability to not live on beans and rice and unpaid bills to make a game that is half as pretty and well laid out and well edieted and all of the other things that you pay people to help you make your products better as what he made.

This was a fantastic episode. Though Reaper Bryan was a late addition his insight into the miniature process was very interesting. I would love to see more interviews like this.
Stonehaven Miniatures is another great resource for RPG character minis.
