Art by Alan Cooper

Now Alan Cooper is willing to extend his services to the Know Direction fandom!

If you would you like a chance to get your favourite character illustrated by a professional artist:

  1. Write a 1 paragraph art order that includes all of the important visual details of your character;
  2. Post it to an official Know Direction page.*
  3. Limit 1 submission per person.
  4. The deadline for your submission is August 23rd, 2019, at 11:59pm Eastern.

Alan will be illustrating the 3 art orders that inspire him the most. His criteria are his own. He will decide on the art style, complexity of the piece, and any details he needs to fill in. With the digital artwork comes the non-commercial rights to distribution. Alan retains the right to include the artwork in his portfolio. If you are interested in the commercial distribution rights, that can be negotiated with the artist.

The winners will be announced on Friday, August 30th, at 10:00am Eastern.

If Alan doesn’t choose your art order, don’t fret!** Know Direction staff will be illustrating some of the characters Alan doesn’t get to. Note that no Know Direction staff member is a professional artist or actually any good at art. This consolation price is basically for the novelty of having an original Costello or Sieg.

An original Costello

*Please note that while we enjoy the Know Direction Podcast Instagram account and encourage you to follow it, it is owned and operated by a fan and does not count as an official page for the purpose of this contest.

**OK, fret a bit.

Ryan Costello

What started as one gamer wanting to talk about his love of a game has turned into an empire of gamers talking about their games. Ryan founded what would become the Know Direction Podcast network with Jason "Jay" Dubsky, his friend and fellow 3.5 enthusiast. They and their game group moved on to Pathfinder, and the Know Direction podcast network was born. Now married and a father, Ryan continues to serve the network as a co-host of the flagship podcast, Know Direction.

  1. How about my Alternity guy?

    Jaxon Huntsleigh – a slim, tall, paranoid blond white guy, in his mid twenties, always carrying a cool laptop for hacking, has a handy knife and small pistol, head shaved on the sides and wears torn up jeans, fashionable t-shirts, and a hardy leather jacket when things get rough.

  2. Supporters like to know what their money is going toward. With crowdfunding, it s easy! All you have to do is share an update and your supporters will be able to see how your artistic project, invention, or DIY endeavor is coming along. Feel free to add more pictures and videos to illustrate your progress even more!
