Before Perram joined Know Direction as the show’s first full time co-host, the podcast could have best been describe as a bunch of Pathfinder RPG stuff. Perram brings a knowledge of and love for Golarion to Know Direction, something any Pathfinder podcast is lacking without. On top of being a man on the pulse of the Pathfinder campaign setting, Perram is the founder of the superlative site for Pathfinder spellcasters, Perram’s Spellbook, a free web application that creates customized spell cards.

  1. Monica! My friend is running a campaign that takes place in the 5 Kings Mountains that started out with your module, Down the Blighted Path. We’re now 12th level characters. It’s been a blast so far. I’thought I’d share a bit of info about how our campaign has developed out of your adventure.

You mentioned in this show that your dwarf in your Kingmaker campaign is a niece of Lady Delbara. We did a similar thing with my dwarf alchemist, Vanten, in our campaign. He’s Lady Delbara’s nephew. Lady Delbara’s spirit asked Vanten to carry Firebrand after freeing it and he’s done so happily so far. Her spirit has spoken to Vanten through the axe a number of times since the end of DtBP. My gm has used it as a device to give our party information that leads to future quests, and it’s worked pretty well. Those quests for the most part have revolved around freeing corrupted or lost dwarven weapons in the 5 Kings, and to restore glory to the dwarves. My gm has done a phenomenal job piecing adventures together to build this campaign that sprouted from the excellent Down the Blighted Path. Thanks for the great adventure!

A side note about my dwarf alchemist build: Wanting to get the most out of the situation, I level dipped Vanten into unchained barbarian so that he could wield Firebrand effectively when he runs out of bombs. Even with just one level of barb he hits really hard with that axe, especially if he has time to buff up with a mutagen and a bull’s strength extract. Those combined with rage and power attack… yeah, it is a lot of fun!

Thanks again for writing such a fun adventure!
