Every week, Now You Know recaps the Know Direction content of the past week, previews the Know Direction content of the week to come, as the director of operations, Ryan Costello, shares his thoughts on the state of the network.
Sorry about the recent radio silence. For those who don’t know, Canada Day and Jean Baptists (aka Quebec Day) are one week apart. And Quebec being Quebec, they forbid any working with few exceptions on their provincial holiday, although they’re more lenient on the next week’s national holiday. All that to say, we get a couple of long weekends in a row, ideal for family trips and get togethers that really impact time for network responsibilities.
It’s been a big couple of weeks for the network, too. As mentioned in my previous editorial, unlike what I’d previously announced, Paizo did give us permission to release audio of the PaizoCon Online 2023 seminars. Shout out to Vanessa Hoskins for confirming that we could once again share PaizoCon audio with our loyal listeners, and for putting the audio together. She saved me a kilogram of time and effort, and got the content out more quickly than I could have on my own.
Speaking of getting the content out, Saturday’s Ask the Paizo GMs Part 2 was the last of this year’s seminars. They’re collected on the PaizoCon Online 2023 Seminar Coverage superpage for your convenience.
In other network news, normally I announce when we get a new member to welcome them and introduce them to the audience. In the case of Drew Carbee, he is both brand new to the network and been working on KD content for months, so it wasn’t clear when to make the introduction. Now that he’s made not one but two on-mic appearances in the past week, the time is clearly now!
Drew’s a vital new addition to the technical side of the Know Director Network, editing both Legend Lore since the Jessico-host era began, and the new Tavern Rats actual play. Not only that, but he plays everyone’s tied for favourite Quest for the Frozen Flame PC Xoroku, the winter orc barbarian.
Drew’s been taking a lot of initiative, offering to take more logistics of posting the episodes off of my plate. Don’t be surprised if you see his name and hear his voice attached to increasing amounts of Know Direction Network content.
