Now You Know recaps the Know Direction content of the past week, previews the Know Direction content of the week to come, and shares the thoughts on the state of the network of the director of logistics, Ryan Costello.
We have an incredible track record of booking the guests we want, and those guests making it to the show. When “The 5th isn’t good for me” works as a punchline because we all understand the struggles of scheduling our games, it’s frankly shocking that we average maybe once a year where we don’t get the guest we wanted on the night we wanted them. Factor in the time zone difference between the hosts and the Paizo office, it’s nothing short of miraculous.
That said, we had my last five episodes as co-host of Know Direction planned since I announced my departure in September. Unfortunately, our originally scheduled guests for this Wednesday reached out last week with concerns they couldn’t make it. They confirmed the cancelled appearance yesterday.
Planning ahead of schedule sometimes leads to more issues than planning short term planning. I get it. Ask me if I’m free next Wednesday, I know for sure. Ask me if I’m free five weeks from now, my calendar may be empty, but I haven’t added that month’s activities to it yet. Heck, occasions I can’t miss might not have been scheduled yet.
That leaves us with a rare opening in our schedule. Rather than scramble to find an acceptable replacement, I turn it to you, our listeners. Bearing in mind this is one of my last episodes, what should it be about? What guest would you like to see me chat with one last time? What topic have you always wanted us to cover? Let us know your ideas for the episode’s content on the Know Direction Network Discord server.
Speaking of Know Direction Network content, here’s a recap of the network content from last week at the Know Direction Network:
