Battle of the Pantheons Conclusion!

The Battle of the Pantheons has concluded! The winner? The Path of the Heavens by Conor Young!

I’d like to take a minute to discuss how incredible of an event this was for me. I’m so honored to know that what started as a nugget of an idea back in January evolved into a full blown piece of Pathfinder canon. My love of the Lost Omens setting is rivaled only by my respect for our community’s creativity. When Paizo gives us 3 pantheons we respond with84! And if there’s anything I’ve learned from running this contest that I’d love to leave the community with it’s this: Create and share! This isn’t the first idea I’ve pitched Paizo. This isn’t the only medium by which you can engage the community creatively. There is a whole world out there of Pathfinders reading message boards and blogs looking for their next PC, monster or even campaign hook. Just as the game inspires our community, so to does the community help improve our game!

And what is a pantheon if not a community?

Speaking of Pantheons, I feel blessed to count myself among a metaphorical pantheon of gaming elite who all helped make this contest possible. Everyone please give a round of applause to our judges: Owen K.C. Stephens of Rogue Genius Games, Alex Augunas of Everybody Games, Ryan Costello and Jefferson Jay Thacker of the Know Direction Podcast, and Vanessa Hoskins of Stellar and Roll for Combat fame! Special thanks to John Godek of Intrepid Heroes for handling our entries so all the submissions were judged impartially. And a personal thanks to Luis Loza for his Friends in High Places blog post on Paizo.com that inspired the whole contest. If you’re reading this you undoubtedly know these names as Know Direction network members, whose content can be found on this site and who can be found on the official Know Direction Discord server. Of course none of this would be a thing without the support of the amazing Tonya Woldridge and the rest of the Organized Play Foundation team for helping make this a PFS legal option and a part of our canon world! And we couldn’t have done it without our fans, friends, and incredible community of devoted Pathfinders!
