Every week, director of operations Ryan Costello shares his thoughts on the state of the network, recaps the Know Direction content of the past week, and previews the Know Direction content of the week to come.
Sometimes I editorialize before the Network Update, sometimes the Network Update takes up all my editorial space.
Network Update
As announced last week, Know Direction and Legend Lore are back! The new episode of Legend Lore is already available. Meanwhile, the new episode of Know Direction released early for our Patrons, and releases in its regularly scheduled time slot this Wednesday.
Speaking of schedules, this influx of returning content brought me back to the spreadsheet to get our dates and times back in line. For those who might not know, Know Direction releases content in a two-block rotation. Every pod has its day, as they say. We’re shuffling some items around to try to get an equal amount of podcast content out each week.
Block 1
Monday – Intrepid Heroes: A Starfinder actual play podcast with regular appearances from Paizo staff and Adventure Path module authors as guest GMs. Currently playing through the Devastation Ark Adventure Path. Returning soon!
Tuesday – Game Design Unboxed: Danielle Reynolds interviews tabletop game designers about the games they’ve made, tracking how the game went from inspiration to publication.
Wednesday – Know Direction: Esther Wallace and Navaar Jackson host the Know Direction network’s flagship podcast, the premier source of Pathfinder 2e news, reviews, and interviews.
Thursday – Digital Divination: John Godek and Jason Keeley’s Starfinder talk show, deep diving into difference topics related to a game they know and love, which John has been writing on for years and Jason was a developer for at Paizo.
Friday – TBA: One of two new actual plays in development.
Block 2
Monday – Valiant: Luis Loza’s original Pathfinder 2e campaign, currently sunsetting. Luis recorded the last episode and intends to release it. Until that episode releases, or Luis says otherwise, Valiant has a slot in the schedule.
Tuesday – TBA: The second of the two new actual plays in development. This one is closer to launch.
Wednesday – Presenting: John Godek interviews creators of tabletop RPGs, usually Pathfinder and Starfinder, but sometimes others.
Thursday – Legend Lore: Loren Sieg and Jessica Redekop’s Pathfinder 2e talk show, deep diving into difference topics related to a game they know and love, which Jessica has over a dozen credits writing on.
Friday – Upshift: My and Jason Keeley’s Essence20 talk show, deep diving into difference topics related to a game we know and love, which I helped design and Jason develops for at Renegade.
