Every week, Recall Knowledge recaps the Know Direction content of the past week, a preview of the Know Direction content of the week to come, and the director of operations, Ryan Costello, thoughts on the state of the network.
Know Direction has grown a lot in the last couple of years, with 2020 seeing our biggest growth spurt. For the first time in its 12 year history, I am not caught up on our content. I’m only on episode 3 of Intrepid Heroes, and not having my commute to listen to more episodes means I’m not catching up any time soon. That tells me that if I’m having trouble keeping up with everything we’re releasing, our fans might be having the same trouble. Even though we’ve released on a regular schedule as long as we’ve been releasing content, we’ve never been super transparent with our release schedule. That was fine when we were a few podcasts and a few blogs, but now that we’re releasing basically a podcast and a blog every weekday, and on a rotating two week schedule, it’s less clear. Add to that, humanity is at one of our lowest points of knowing what day of the week it is, it was time for some clarification.
So I present to you: Recall Knowledge, a weekly summary of the latest activity on the Know Direction Network, and a preview of what’s to come this week. Owen KC Stephens flattered us when he started comparing the Know Direction Network to Dragon Magazine in its classic form. In that regard, you can think of Recall Knowledge as your editor’s note and table of content. As a fan of Dragon Magazine over the years, and someone who once bought an issue of Dragon magazine for the innovative table of content, I hope you understand how excited I am to bring Recall Knowledge to you.

Fox’s Cunning – I Hope You Know That
By Dustin Knight
There’s a tendency among 2e players with 1e experience to avoid rolling Recall Knowledge (no relation), because what is free in 1e costs an action in 2e. Dustin presents a strong arguement as to why Recall Knowledge is not only worth the price of 1 action, it’s a steal.

Important Reminders
Here is the bulletin board of all the adventures you should be on.
- PaizoCon Online 2020
The biggest news on the last week is Paizo’s announcement that they will be hosting a virtual PaizoCon this year called PaizoCon Online 2020, running from Tuesday, May 26th to Sunday, May 31st. Which, thanks to Darran Caldemeyer, The Know Direction Network’s official PaizoCon countdown correspondent, we know is 22 days from today!
The Know Direction Network is partnering with Paizo for this event, and they are giving us the keys to the Paizo Twitch channel in order to host the panels. Now more than ever, the KD Con team’s motto is We Con When You Can’t. - KD Patreon Content
Last week I released a test run of Recall Knowledge to Patreon. We got feedback that influenced the presentation of this, the official first installment of Recall Knowledge. Additionally, we released a 10 minute bonus episode of Adventurous, revisiting our old By The Campfire episodes with an out-of-character discussion of how we leveled our Adventurous characters to 5th. If you’d like to check out this bonus content and encourage us to release more bonus content like it, check out the Know Direction Network Patreon. - Battle of the Pantheons
This is your last week to contribute your pantheon idea to Battle of the Pantheon, and to see your idea make it into Golarion lore and PFS play! The deadline is 11:59 pm PST May 10, 2020.
Thanks to the Know Direction staff members for all of the diligent effort they put in to make all of the above possible. If anything we’ve released that you’re read or listened to this week entertained you, impacted your game, or made you think, I encourage you to seek out whoever made that possible and let them know your thoughts.
Now you know,
Ryan Costello
